Opaline: The Veiled is a modern dark supernatural roleplay experience set deep in the rocky mountains, where the town of Opaline clings to its ridgeline like a secret that refuses to die. On the surface, it’s a place of rust‑bitten rail lines, porch‑light gossip, and old families who’ve lived here long enough to forget why they stayed. But beneath that quiet veneer lies a history shaped by disappearances, strange lights, and a mountain that seems to breathe with its own ancient will. Outsiders feel the weight of it the moment they cross the county line ~ a hush in the pines, a prickle at the back of the neck, a sense that something unseen is watching from the tree line.
Hidden among the townsfolk are three lineages bound to the mountain in ways no tourist brochure would ever admit. Some carry instincts carved from the wild earth, some bear the mark of old pacts sealed in shadow, and some walk with the whisper of unseen forces guiding their steps. They don’t trust one another, but they maintain a fragile balance to keep Opaline standing ~ each guarding the mountain for their own reasons, each shaped by its cycles and moods.
