The Blood Root Rede is  the oldest guiding principles of the Circle of the Crone. Each Rede is associated with an element, a direction, a lunar phase, and the zodiac signs that embody its nature. Together they form the spiritual foundation upon which every Blood Root Coven is built.

First Rede: One Land, One Coven

Where Blood Root takes root, there shall be but one recognized coven within a town, city, or settled community. This Rede preserves unity among practitioners and prevents rival circles from dividing the land's spiritual balance. Solitary practice is respected, but those who gather to work as a coven are expected to strengthen the existing circle rather than fracture it. Just as roots intertwine beneath the soil, so too must the witches of a land stand together. The New Moon symbolizes the planting of intention and the beginning of all sacred work.

The zealot  flame  of Blood Root is both a gift and a burden. Every Sister is expected to wield her gifts  with purpose, never allowing passion, vengeance, or ambition to consume wisdom. Fire exists to illuminate, protect, and transform. A flame left unchecked burns more than its intended target. The Waxing Crescent represents growth, ambition, and the disciplined pursuit of power guided by purpose rather than impulse.
